Money Management Adviser
Full time - 35 hours/week
£22,000 per annum
(twelve months in the first instance)

Salford Foundation has secured funding from the Money Advice Service to employ an Adviser to test out more widely its approach to engaging vulnerable service users. The Adviser will offer advice, support and advocacy to vulnerable female offenders and those who are at risk of offending who are in challenging circumstances and are additionally experiencing problems relating to debt, budgeting and welfare benefit matters.

We are seeking a proactive individual with a good understanding of the complex needs of vulnerable women. The Adviser will provide those service users with informed support, appropriate information and specialist advice when required working within the Greater Manchester Women’s Alliances Women’s Centres in each of the boroughs of Greater Manchester. The ability to form empathic relationships with service users, communicate effectively at all levels, manage time effectively and work to targets will be essential.

The successful candidate will have recent experience of providing debt/welfare advice.

National Citizen Service Co-ordinator
£20,000 Full Time (35 hours/week)
Contract until September 2018

We are seeking to recruit a Co-ordinator within our National Citizen Service team. NCS is an exciting initiative for 16 and 17 year olds (years 11 & 12) which builds on the governments vision of building the Big Society. The programme supports young people from all backgrounds to take on new challenges, learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to their local communities. NCS is a voluntary programme that runs year round that for each young person will include a residential, skills building opportunities and social action planning and delivery that benefits their local community.

The NCS Co-ordinators work with groups of year 11s and 12s in designated schools and colleges across Salford and Trafford. The Co-ordinator will lead on the engagement of young people and delivering NCS programmes in the summer, autumn and spring. You will have a background of working with young people in an educational, voluntary or community setting. There is a requirement for the post holder to be flexible in their working patterns and be expected to work regular evenings, weekends and midweek residential away from your home base. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
