Debt and Welfare Adviser
Full Time 35 hours per week
£22,000 - £24,000 per annum depending on level of qualification
(Twelve months in the first instance)

Salford Foundation, working on behalf of the Greater Manchester Women’s Services Alliance, has secured funding to employ an Adviser to offer advice, support and advocacy to vulnerable female offenders and those who are at risk of offending who are in challenging circumstances and are additionally experiencing problems relating to debt, budgeting and welfare benefit matters.

We are seeking a proactive individual with a good understanding of the complex needs of vulnerable women. The Adviser will provide those service users with informed support, appropriate information and specialist advice when required working within the Alliances Women’s Centres in Greater Manchester. The ability to form empathic relationships with service users, communicate effectively at all levels, manage time effectively and work to targets will be essential.

The successful candidate will have recent experience of providing debt/welfare advice. Candidates are expected to have the Certificate in Money Advice Practice to be considered for the higher end of the salary range.

Youth Co-ordinator
Full Time (35 hours per week)
£20,000 per annum
Maternity cover until 31st August 2018

The Youth Co-ordinator will work with groups of year 11s and 12s in designated schools and colleges across Salford and Trafford. The Co-ordinator will lead on the engagement of young people and delivering of the NCS (National Citizen Service) programmes in the summer, autumn and spring.

The programme supports young people from all backgrounds to take on new challenges, learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to their local communities. NCS is a voluntary programme that runs year round that for each young person will include a residential, skills building opportunities and social action planning and delivery that benefits their local community.

You will have a background of working with young people in an educational, voluntary or community setting. There is a requirement for the post holder to be flexible in their working patterns and be expected to work regular evenings, weekends and midweek residential away from your home base.

NCS Sessional Support Staff Roles
Summer 2018

Salford Foundation has been commissioned by the NCS Trust to deliver National Citizen Service projects across Salford and Trafford.

National Citizen Service (NCS) is an exciting initiative for 16 and 17 year olds (years 11 and 12) which builds on the governments vision of building the Big Society. The programme supports young people from all backgrounds to take on new challenges, learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to their local communities. NCS is a voluntary programme that runs year round. For each young person this includes a residential, skills-building opportunities and social action planning and delivery that benefits their local community.

All positions are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

NCS Summer Group Leaders - £1720 (20 day role)
NCS Summer Group Assistants - £1075 (15 day role)
