Raising Aspirations - BEP Co-ordinator
Full Time (35 hours per week)
£20,000 per annum
12 months fixed term contract

Salford Foundation’s ’Raising Aspirations’ programmes work with young people from primary age through to college-aged students. All of these programmes focus on preparing young people for the next stage in their lives; this may be from primary to secondary school, from education into the world of work, all whilst equipping them with life skills.

We are seeking someone to join the team on a fixed term contract to co-ordinate and facilitate our Business Education Partnership activities such as mock interviews and world of work days. You will have a background of organising and delivering activities and activities with clear learning objectives as well as working with business professionals.

This position is Car User Essential and is subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure

National Citizen Service Programme Summer 2019 Sessional Vacancies

Salford Foundation has been commissioned by the NCS Trust to deliver National Citizen Service projects across Salford and Trafford. National Citizen Service (NCS) is an exciting initiative for 15 - 17 year olds (years 11 and 12) which builds on the governments vision of building the Big Society. The programme supports young people from all backgrounds to take on new challenges, learn new skills, meet new people and make a real difference to their local communities. NCS is a voluntary programme that runs three times a year. For each young person this includes a residential, skills-building opportunities and social action.



NCS Phase Leaders

The NCS Phase Leaders will work during the summer period to oversee a programme of pre-planned activities for large groups of year 11 school leavers. We are seeking confident and competent individuals to lead a team of staff through residential and community based experiences; managing safeguarding, health & safety and behavioural procedures. The programme runs between Monday and Friday over the course of several weeks. You will be required to oversee different ’phases’ of the programme on a rotational basis, including:

Phase 1 - Activity based residential located in Colomendy, North Wales
Phase 2 - Skills based residential located at Manchester Metropolitan University
Phase 3 - Social action project planning based in a local community venue (Salford/Trafford)
Phase 4 - Delivery of community project comprising of 30 hours volunteering

All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure

The salary for this position is £3,476 for 30 days

NCS Wave Co-ordinators

The NCS Wave Co-ordinators will work during the summer period to deliver a range of activities under the guidance of a Phase Lead. You will work in collaboration with other Wave Co-ordinators to ensure a quality experience for young people accessing the National Citizen Service programme. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple teams of young people and their associated staff members. NCS runs between a Monday and Friday over a course of 4 weeks; the 20 days are broken down as follows:

Week 1 - Activity based residential located in Colomendy, North Wales
Week 2 - Skills based residential located at Manchester Metropolitan University
Week 3 - Social action project planning based in a local community venue (Salford/Trafford)
Week 4 - Delivery of community project comprising of 30 hours volunteering

All positions are subject to an enhanced DBS Disclosure

The salary for this position is £2,151 for 20 days and will be pro-rata for Wave 5 as it is a shorter wave
