Salford Foundation has secured funding from Salford City Council to employ an Energy Adviser to offer support to low income adults and young people in or at risk of falling into fuel poverty.
Our Energy Adviser is able to provide energy efficiency information and support to help low income adults and young people and vulnerable service users to reduce their utility bills and improve energy efficiency in their homes.
Our Energy Adviser may be able to assist clients on switching providers in order to maximise household incomes and may also able to exchange pre-pay gas and electric meters for credit meters, potentially saving clients hundreds of pounds per year.
Funded by Salford City Council, our Energy Adviser is able to give one-to-one tailored energy efficiency advice as well as provide a twenty page generic booklet. The booklet is full of energy saving tips, advice and contact details of other local frontline service providers. The project also delivers borough-wide energy and fuel debt advice sessions in partnership with community projects and events, as well as drop-in sessions with personally tailored information.
If you would like to find more about our Energy Advice service, please get in touch.
