The project provides 1 to 1 mentoring for young people identified as being at risk of becoming involved with organised crime and gangs. The focus will be on early intervention and prevention looking at using positive activities to steer young people down a legitimate path helping to improve resilience, motivation and aspirations, and reducing risk taking behaviours. Action plans will be put in place for each young person tracking progress and setting goals, whilst also looking to improve problem solving and develop coping mechanisms. Sessions will focus on a range of issues specific to the individual such as drug awareness and anger management, and these will run alongside positive activities building on existing interests and hobbies.
