Creative Health

Since October 2023, Salford Foundation has been piloting and delivering new approaches to improve men's overall health and wellbeing.

Our new Creative Health Worker based at “The Shed”, supports men in Salford with complex needs, including mental and physical health conditions.

They engage with socially isolated & vulnerable men in Salford to raise environmental awareness and improve overall health and wellbeing.

The service uses therapeutic, strengths-based holistic support and group-based activities to engage with men using arts, culture, environment and heritage activities.

We plan to help 100 men each year.

Key outcomes include:

  • Promoting healthy lifestyles, healthy eating, physical activity
  • Improving health and emotional wellbeing
  • Raising awareness of environmental sustainability including reducing, re-using and recycling
  • Promoting public transport, cycling and walking routes
