Want to fundraise for Salford Foundation?

Why not get involved with the 2.6 challenge?

The 2.6 Challenge is a bid to save the UK’s charities – created by London Marathon Events, The Great Run Company, Human Race and parkrun – is designed for people to take part in activities based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and raise money for charity.

Many fundraising events in the UK have been postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst we are all hopeful many of these events will go ahead at a later date, many charities across the UK have been left struggling to maintain their services.

Need activity ideas?

  • How about running or walking 2.6 miles, 2.6km or for 26 minutes
  • Doing a 2.6 mile walk in your PJs
  • Getting the kids to be quiet for 26 minutes!
  • Juggling or planking in an odd place for 2.6 minutes
  • Or using this as an opportunity to virtually get people together:
  • You could do an online quiz with 26 questions or with 26 people using Zoom or Houseparty
  • Or get 26 people to do a workout on a video call.

You can be as creative as you like!

Once you’ve completed your #TwoPointSixChallenge, make a donation to a charity of your choice to show your support and be a real Home Hero.

"Thank you so much for going above and beyond for my child. Your help and support has helped make such a difference in her life in such a small amount of time. I am truly grateful."
